The Alaska Cooperative Development Center needed an elegant logo that integrated the element of the twin pines, the international symbol for cooperative businesses, with intrinsically Alaskan elements. The Northern Lights became the main Alaskan identifier in the composition, in addition to exchanging the characteristic 'Cooperative Twin Pines' for Alaskan spruces.
